FAXE WHITE LYE
Product Description:
Faxe White Lye is developed to stop the darkning process in all wood sorts, and provides a very light even white washed finish to the surface still leaving the structure of the wood to shine through.
Application:
Faxe White Lye is applied to new untreated or newly sanded wood work such as floors, wall panels, table tops, doors and furniture. Everywhere the light colour of the wood should be preserved. Faxe White Lye can be used on Pine, Larch, Douglas, Oak, Ash, Chestnut and many others. The scale of colour depends on the wood sort. It is recommended to make a test before application.
User Guide:

Woodwork must be clean and dry. Dirty surfaces should be cleaned thoroughly with Faxe Woodcleaner.

Shake the container before and during use.

The Lye is easily applied with a lye brush or a T-handle with a cloth cover, in an even layer in a longitude direction. Even out overlappings while the wood is still wet. Use suitable protective gloves and glasses during application.

When the woodwork is dry, another application of lye might be necessary. This will provide the lightest result and the best protection against darkening.

Floor boards, furniture, table tops etc. should receive aftercare treatment to leave it effectively protected agains dirt and liquids.
Aftercare Treatment:
Soap treatment is recommended where a beautiful, silk matt and natural finish is desired.
Faxe Floorsoap White leave the woodwork with a light, white washed finish, and
Faxe Floorsoap Natural gives the wood work a natural light golden finish.
Tips!
A wooden floor should be smooth and delicious. To avoid the wood form raising when applying Lye, the wood should be washed with
Faxe Woodcleaner and water (1:40) before lye application. When the wood is dry, sand the surface with a fine sandpaper - grade 120 or a sanding net. The woodwork is ready for the lye treatment.
