FAXE WOOD OIL NATURAL
Product Description:
Faxe Wood Oil White is the original and well known oil which is easy to apply and that leaves the woodwork highly durable and easy to maintain.
Application:
For untreated or lye treated hard- and pine wood where a warm golden or natural dark finish is desired. The treatment with Faxe Wood Oil Natural is strong and enhances the wood works natural structure.
User Guide:
- First clean thoroughly with Faxe Woodcleaner and water (1:40). Leave the woodwork to dry completly. Drying time approx. 5 hours at 20°C.
- Shake the container before and during application.
- Spred a suitable amount of oil onto 3-5 m2 in an even layer with a pad or a squeegee.
- Leave the oil shiney and wet on the surface for 5-15 min. If dry patches emerges, add more oil.
- Any excess oil left on the surface after the 5-15 min., is moved to the next section of the woodwork while adding the necessary amount of oil to this new section.
- Each section is wiped clean and dry after the 5-15 min. with dry cotton cloths so no excess oil is left on the surface. The surface should be left looking dry.
- The oil now needs to harden for 7 days. Floors can be used after 8 hours if covered with paper but it is important that the surface doesn't get dirty or wet during the hardening process.
Application with Machine :
Follow point 1 & 2 above.
- With a floor-polishing machine spread an even layer of oil onto approx. 10m2 using a white polishing pad.

Leave the oil to saturate the floor for 5-15 mins. while spreading oil onto the next section of the floor.

When the oils is absorbed by the woodwork (max 15 mins.) polish the floor boards with a dry cotton floor cloth placed underneath the white polishing pad.

Repeat polishing with clean dry cotton floor cloths until the surface is dry

Tips!
Is the floor untreated (no lye treatment) the floorboards should be washed with Faxe Woodcleaner and water (1:40). This way the surface is opened so more oil is easily absorbed. In case of the wood raising, sand it with a fine sand paper or sanding net grade 120. The result will be smoother and leave a stronger and more durable surface which means that the oil will last longer.
Tips!
An even more saturated and beautiful result can be achived, if 24 hours after oil treatment a very thin fine layer of oil is applyed either manually with oilsoaked cloths or with the floor-polishing machine.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Cleaning of woodwork treated with Faxe oils is generally just a hoovering. When the wood work needs maintenance and washing use Faxe Oilcare Natural or Faxe Floorsoap Natural.
Faxe Oilcare provides a protective and fluid rejecting film to the surface which makes the woodwork easy to maintain. Faxe Oilcare is suitable for all types of wood.
Faxe Floorsoap has great cleaning power and saturates the surface without leaving a film. The product is suitable for all lightly golden, light and whitewashed surfaces. For darker wood sorts such as Merbau and Jatoba and such, we recommend to use only Faxe Oilcare Natural.
Renovation:
When wear and tear is showing, clean the woodwork with Faxe Woodcleaner and renovate with one of Faxe' s oils.

Declaration:
Purified vegetable and wood oils, low-aromatic napthta <40%, drying agent.
Tools are cleaned with terpentine.
*NB: If more than one container of the same product is required for a treatment the contents should be mixed together before use for an even result.
KEEP UNDER LOCK AND AWAY FROM CHILDREN. Avoide contact with the skin. Do not empty into drains.
IMPORTANT! RISK OF SELF IGNITION: Contains hardening oil. To avoid self ignition place used cloths etc. in a bucket of water or burn these immediately after use.
