FAXE A/S
The young painter Karl Faxe and his wife Olga came to Hornbaek in Denmark in 1926.

Here they setteled as there was basis for starting a painting work shop. At the same time, Karl had the possibility of enjoying his hobby as an artistic painter in these beautiful surroundings and unique landscape. In his workshop, Karl and his apprentices mastered the old techniques such as guilding, grain painting, crackling etc.
Their speciality was of course, natural treatment of wood work with lye, soap and oils. During the years, these specialites were developed into a complete product program for treatment and care of wood work. This program is today known under the trade name of Faxe.
